Barbara Marie (Lee) Hussey Hiser, 81, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Woodcrest Manor of Elsmere, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Wilson Lee and Thelma Cora (Haines) Lee and second husband Edward Hiser. Survivors include daughters Diana (Robert) Moore of Safety Harbor, FL, Paula (James) VanDorpe of Charlotte, MI, and Gail (Dennis) Carr of Edgewood, KY; son Butch (Jeanne) Hussey of Nashville, MI; sister Joyce (Alfred) Miller of Polk City, FL; grandchildren Theresa VanDorpe, Michelle (Ryan) Stubblefield, Mindy Cleary, Michael (Dawn) Barrett, Joseph Barrett, Casey(Wendy) Hussey, Cody (Andrea) Hussey and Lindsey (Isaac) Weeks; great-grandchildren Morghan, Caylen, Vanessa, and Cruz; and step-great-grandchildren Zakary, Breanna, Skylin, Shayla, Ally, John, and Landon. She had lived the last 17 months with her daughter in Edgewood, KY, prior to that she lived in Charlotte, MI. She retired in 2010 as a volunteer for the clothing bank and DHS in Eaton County. Barbara's career spanned companies like Massie Ferguson, Wilcox Gay, and General Aluminum as an accountant and the Safety Harbor Spa in Florida where she enjoyed meeting famous people. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Charlotte, MI, a member of Potterville, Michigan Chapter of Eastern Star, and loved to paint, knit, crochet, and watch Jeopardy. Her favorite past-time was eating out at different restaurants and a trip shopping at the local mall.
Memorial visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Pray Funeral Home of Charlotte, MI. She will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery of Charlotte, MI in a private ceremony immediately following.
Memorials may be directed to charity of ones' choice to Honor and celebrate the life of Barbara Hiser.
