Obituary of Richard Switzer

Richard Joseph Switzer, Sr. age 92 of Ludlow, formerly of Covington, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. He was a retired truck driver for Wilson Freight and previously employed as a messenger for Central Trust. He was a US Army Veteran who was a Cincinnati Reds Fan and enjoyed communicating on his CB radio. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Elizabeth Switzer, daughters, Patricia Ann McCleese and Shirley Lee Chandler, brothers, Ernest, Raymond, Coot and Joseph Switzer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Switzer, sons, Richard J. Switzer Jr. of Florence, Ky., Johnny Turner, Jeremy Turner and Jordan Turner, all of Covington, sisters, Wilma Davis, Annie Rice and Frankie Wallace, all of Columbus, Oh., 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Independence. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM Sunday, July 29, 2012 with the funeral ceremony at 4 PM. Burial will take place Monday 10 am at Highland Cemetery. Memorial donations are requested to: American Diabetes Association, Cincinnati OH Office, 644 Linn St, Suite 304, Cincinnati, Oh. 45203.
