Obituary of James Cason

James Carston Cason passed away at his residence at Independence, Ky. at the age of 57. He was the beloved son of James C. Cason and Annalene Cason, born to them August 1, 1955 at Ft. Wright, Ky. After graduation from Simon Kenton High School, he went to Edwards and Vale, Colorado where he called home for 39 years. After working for the FBI, he went into the building trades. He established his company, Cason Masonry & Construction, which he operated for 35 years. He was known for honesty and integrity, always ready to reach a helping hand to those in need. He was so loved and respected by those that knew him. The Vale Colorado News printed a front page spread of his life and accomplishments titled "Jimbo Cason Rocks the Valley." He was well known as a great hunter, having trophies for largest bear and elk ever captured in the USA. He was known far and wide for his vast collection and knowledge of antique traps and Indian artifacts. He is sadly missed by his three sons, Caley Cason, Forrest Cason and Tucker Cason, all of Boulder, Colorado, his mother Annalene Cason Vargas, his sister Cindy Ann Cahill (Greg), his three brothers Joel C. Cason (Brenda), Jack C. Cason(fiancé Annabell) and brother Jonathan C. Cason along with many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at 12:30 pm at Banklick Christian Church located at the intersection of Madison Pike and Hands Pike, Sunday August 12, 2012.
Memorial donations are requested in lieu of flowers to Banklick Christian Church, 4150 Madison Pike, Covington, Ky. 41017-9520.
