Vic Morrison, 70, of Independence passed away Sunday August 19, 2012 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth. He lived in Independence for 45 years and dearly loved the city. One of the highlights of his life was when he received the key to the city. Until failing health, Vic was always a bow hunter and had a record 18 point non-typical whitetail. He was an avid bow hunter and sportsman. Along with several friends he founded United Bowhunters of Kentucky (UBK) to promote and protect the sport of bowhunting. Vic was also an amazing public speaker and writer. He created and was the first editor and publisher of UBK's newsletter. He was preceded in death by his son, Chris in 2006. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Sandy.
