Obituary of Howard Graves

Howard Louis Graves, 68, of Independence, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital of Edgewood. He was a mechanic the majority of his life, but was self-employed then retired in his later years. Howard spent most of his time with family. He enjoyed going to the drag strip and very seldom missed a NASCAR race. His daughters Pamela and Sandy Graves and two brothers Carl and Charles Graves preceded him in death. Survivors include three daughters Vickie (Duane) Gray of Independence, Patricia (Michael) SoRelle of Independence, and Paula (Kenneth) Gibbs of DeMossville; brother Warren Graves of Clearwater, FL; and six grandchildren Nicole, Amber, Kristin, Breanna, Brandon, and Nicholas.
