Obituary of Maudean Smith

Maudean (nee Peters) SMITH, of Corinth, Ky., formerly of Union and Barbourville, Ky. Born to Hubert Peters and Sallie Warren Peters Bolton on January 31, 1941 in Knox County, Ky. She was a member of Big Bone Baptist Church and enjoyed yard sales, reading and especially her bible. She left this walk of life for her heavenly home on September 14, 2012 St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, Ky. On February 6, 1956, she was united in marriage to Willie Smith and to this union eight children were born. She is preceded in death by her son Billy Ray Smith and sister Janice Bruner. Maudean is survived by her loving husband Willie Smith, sons, Keith(Missy) of Alexandria,Ky., Johnny(Donna) and Tony(Jackie), both of Crittenden, Ky.,Teddy(Jessie), Creed(Cindy), both of Union, Ky., daughters, Sherry(Mark)Hon of Union, Ky. and Sheilah(Phillip) Wynn of Williamstown, Ky, brothers Sonny Peters of Union, Ky. and Kenneth Peters of Crittenden, Ky, sisters, Alma Smith of Barbourville, Ky, Freida Todd, Corinth, Ky, Ann Mills and Sue Bright, both of Dewitt, Ky. and Tammy Richmond of Barbourville, Ky. Also, 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Services will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Big Bone Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 11 am. Funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
