Obituary of Dorothy Craig

Dorothy M. Davis Craig, age 93, of Walton, formerly of Newport, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, at her residence. She was a homemaker and formerly worked in shipping and receiving for Gibson Greeting Card Company. Ms. Craig enjoyed bowling and loved to dance. Earlier in her life Dorothy and her sister performed as dancers with a young lady named Doris Kappelhoff, later known as Doris Day. Her husband, Edward Eugene Craig, sister, Marion Fodal, sons, Billy & Jerry Craig, and grandson, Vincent Maline, all preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Wood of Walton, Cindy Scott and Beverly Maline, of Newport, and Susan Hughes, all of Latonia; sons, Bobby Craig of Ft. Wright and Eddie Craig of Edgewood; brother Carroll "Murph" Davis; (30) grandchildren; (44) great grandchildren; and (11) great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Walton. Funeral services will be Thursday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati or the American Heart Association.
