Obituary of Mary Carter

Mary "Sybil" (nee Harral) Carter, 89, of Independence passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and a very involved member of Sequoyah Hills Baptist church in Tulsa, OK. Sybil is preceded in death by her parents George and Cecile Harral and her two brothers George Jr. and William "Bill" Harral. Survivors include her loving husband Robert "Neal" Carter of Independence; daughters Peggy (Garry) Roberts of Independence and Amy (Rick) Brink of Chester, VA; son Chris (Mary) Carter of Norman, OK; grandchildren Israel (Clare) Roberts, David (Rocio) Roberts, Shiloh (Daniel) Kieffer, Garret (Julia) Brink, Tristan (Carrie) Brink, Anna (Ric) Hatcher, Colin Brink, Chad (Seanna) Carter, Emma (Mike) Juday, Ivy Brink, Opal Brink, and Carter Dean Brink; 5 great-grandchildren and 4 on the way. Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 5PM until the time of service 7PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Interment will be at the Northern Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
