Mrs Cady was one of the sweetest Ladies I have ever know. Her smile could make anyone feel better. The advice she gave me about my M.S. was a comfort . I had not had phone calls for a while but I will cherish our talks. Heaven is your home now but we will all miss you so much.

Dottie and my mother, Helen VonLehmen Crotty, were the best of friends from their high school days at Notre Dame Academy until Helen passed away in 2007. In the high school year book their nicknames, Penny and Dixie, were noted along with their humor and spirit of fun. Seems they had a little column in the school paper that contained bits of gossip from around the school. Imagine that! Penny and Dixie (I'm not sure which one was which!) both married Irishmen and raised large families. They stayed in close touch despite many miles of separation over the years. In retirement, they volunteered together at Be Concerned in Covington, spending many happy hours helping those less fortunate. My father, Patrick Crotty, and my sisters remained friendly with Dottie after Mom died. We visited her in her beautiful home in Walton a couple of times and exchanged Christmas cards. We will remember her always.
