Eda Lou Hall Black, 81, of Perry Park, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Carroll County Hospital, Carrolton, KY. She retired from Boone County Schools as a special education aid, a member of Squiresville Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Eda enjoyed playing the piano and scrabble. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Melbourne "Mel" Black; daughters Tamara Dee Arnold of Carrolton and Karen Kee (Doug) Kelley of Covington; sons Steven Lee (Denise) Black of Florence and Andrew Cee Black of CA; sister Faye Beach of LaGrange, KY; brother Capt. Russel Hall of Warsaw; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way. Visitation will be Monday, September 9, 2013 from 11AM until the time of the Funeral Service 1PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Interment will be at Big Bone Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to any church of your choice, Alzheimer's Association 644 Linn St., Cincinnati, OH 45203, or to St. Elizabeth Hospice 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
