My last chat with Paul was about the Red Sox and Yankee rivalry. Both teams had a lousy season - not much to say there, but we reflected on Derek Jeter's t impact on the game and how much he will be missed. We agreed that Jeter was a true gentleman, a class act, and a hero. It's a real sign of progress when a Red Sox and a Yankee fan can agree on anything.
I'll probably never get to meet Derek Jeter but I am proud to say I knew a true gentleman, a class act and a hero the day I met Paul Ramsdell. On this we can l agree - he had a great impact on us and he will be missed.

Paul's friends and family can all take comfort in the fact that he so was well loved by all he came in contact with. He touched so many lives in such a positive way that he leaves an indelible legacy that will live on within us forever. His positivity and friendly demeanor were infectious, and the stories shared here are demonstrative of just how true that was.
As we celebrate his life, I am reminded of a qoute by Dr. Suess - "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". I'll always reflect on Paul with a smile, just like the one he always wore.
I wish to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to his family.
May you rest in peace, brother.

I have know Paul R. (As he was known) since 1st grade at Edwards elementary in Beverly, MA. We were in Miss Wazack's class in 2nd grade and that is where I learned what a special person Paul was. He was always sweet, helpful & kind. His warm personality followed him till we graduated high school. Years would pass & seeing him at a reunion with that warm welcoming smile and yup there's Paul R. My prayers & thoughts are with all that had the pleasure of knowing Paul. Although I didn't know his family, I know his passing will be a heavy loss, but knowing his waiting on the other, side smiling that smile knowing he's watching over all of you is pretty special just like the person he was . God bless you Paul

I work 3PM-11:30PM. As I walked down the long hall, often I saw Paul at a distance. He walked with a bounce and would always speak, asking "How are YA?" with a Boston ring. We would share a moment; I felt so uplifted just being in his presence, he always made me laugh.
As I walked down the hall today I saw a man at a distance, he walked by, we didn't speak. There was a dull silence, I felt sad, tears filled my eyes. I wished it was Paul.

Every day, without fail, Paul would greet me by yelling, "brother Mark!!!!" To which I would return, "brother Paul!!!!" He would always have a big genuine smile, a hearty laugh, and a kind word to share. Paul was the best kind of colleague anyone could ever ask or hope for. His sense of the more important things in life, like family, friends, and relationships, always rode above the normal dealings of the day. I will always remember Paul taking time out of his busy day to ask how my family was doing, and especially when my sons Brendan and Sean and daughter Erin were going through milestones and even several tough times in their lives. Paul would regularly share stories about Sandy, Dillon, his many friends and family members that he so loved. It was obvious that he loved his bride incredibly, and he was most proud as dad to Dillon.... It was perfectly clear that he loved them both more than life itself.
Even when things were busy, hectic, or tense at work, Paul made it that much easier to deal with such by keeping it just light enough to keep things moving along by mixing in timely stories, jokes and an infectious laughter that I will never ever forget. All while getting the work done!
I walked into Paul's office a couple of times yesterday and felt his presence. Seeing the pictures and just how he left things on Friday had a certain healing effect that was comforting. That's the way it will always be at 100 Crosby. Paul's presence will be felt by so many for many more years to come.
It is so hard for me to grasp that you are gone, Paul. You were so full of life, and I just can't wrap my head around the painful reality. I am incredibly grateful that God gave me the chance to get to know you.
I believe you are in heaven, with your parents and other family and friends that have passed before you. All welcoming you with open arms... and you will now be waiting patiently, and with no hurry, with that hearty laugh, smile, and big hug for the many others that you have impacted throughout your life.
Love ya brother Paul!

I will always remember Paul as one of the best bosses I ever had. He began calling me "Captain Larry" pretty much after we first met, and he continued to. I came up with my own name; it was "Paul Baby".
Paul - your laughter will always be missed. You touched many people's lives during your time at Fidelity Investments, and I'm proud that I knew you. Thanks for all our great talks and your advice.
Rest In Peace, Paul Baby...........

I didn't know Paul as well as others but I always liked him a lot. Everytime I saw him he was laughing, smiling or just being a jovial person, in general. Every time I interacted with him, I walked away in a better mood than before and I'll definitely miss having him around. Rest in Peace, Paul, you're a great guy and will be missed.

Sandy and Dylan, my thoughts and love are with you. Although I only had the pleasure of calling Paul my friend for 10 short years, I've had the pleasure of sharing many great memories with him that I will cherish for a lifetime. He looked out for me like a brother, guided me like a father, and supported me through all that life's most significant years brought with them. I could always come to him for guidance whether I needed help with a situation at work as well as personal advice. Paul never steered me wrong. From the late nights out to the early mornings in the golf course, I will cherish every minute we spent together. Love ya, brotha!

I was saddened to hear of Paul's passing and my condolences go out to his family during this difficult time. I first worked with Paul in Melrose in the early 90’s. He moved a mile a minute and spoke even faster. I always admired his positive attitude, tireless work ethic and willingness to roll up his sleeves to help out anyone that needed a hand. Outside of work he was always there with a smile and lit up every room with his infectious laugh. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Sandy and Dylan - we are so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. We will always remember soccer days when our boys played together at SK and how Paul was always so positive, friendly, and encouraging to everyone. We could lose by a mile and Paul would always find a way to encourage and smile. It was more fun when we won by a mile and he did the same thing! Gracious regardless of the outcome. We are praying for comfort and peace as you go through this very sad time. We are honored and privileged to have had the chance to know Paul through our boys playing ball together.
