Obituary of Frank Jackson

Frank E. Jackson, age 83, of Independence, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ft. Thomas. He was the proprietor of Frank Jackson and Son Excavating, operated a dairy farm in southern Kenton County for many years and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Frank served his Lord and the Northern Kentucky community in various ways over the years including as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Oak Island Baptist Church in Morning View, as the past President of the Board of Directors of Owen Electric Cooperative, as a Water District Commissioner, as the past Kenton County Farm Bureau President, as a member of the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission, as a former Kenton County Fair Board Member, and as a member of the National Advisory Committee of Agriculture Council of America among others.
His wife, Glenda Marie Anderson Jackson and brother, Charles Jackson, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Jackson; sons, David (Peggy) Jackson and Paul (Sheri) Jackson; sisters, Nellie Sipple and Wilma Neal; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
