Jed dated our neighbors daughter. We knew him as a very young man he was quiet and respectful. We bought an antique truck from him. He did well in life as we knew he would and he died way too soon. Giving meaning to the saying “only the good die young” RIP

Deepest and sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Jed Deters. With years of life come the accumulation of many memories, hope, goals, friendships and family. Hence the truth of the words of Ecclesiastes 7:1 come to the fore..."A good name is better than good oil...(the reputation earned in one's lifetime).. and the day of death is better than the day of birth." (for now the blank page at birth has written on it the lifetime lived at one's passing). Therefore to the lifetime of your dear loved one take comfort in the words of Job 14:14,15 where the question is asked "If a man dies can he live again?" Vs 15 answers it with the words saying God "..will call.." and he (those now deceased) "would answer." Exactly as Jesus did with Lazarus ..he called "Lazarus come out!", and Lazarus answered by coming out alive and well (John11:43,44). May this hope comfort you (Acts14:15) and allow you a brief smile in thought of what it would be like for you and your loved one to one day do the same.

I remember when Jed ran in a race for judge along with my husband Dave. He was a gentleman. Honest, sincere, and most of all a genuine nice guy. He made me feel like i had known him always as a friend even tbough I hadn't known him a long time. My heart goes out to his family as I know what it is like to lose a child as well as a brother. Hugs and prayers.

My deepest sympathies on your loss. I worked with Jed for about 9 years and always he was a sweet, kind and gentle man. He said one time "I would be quite happy hanging my shingle and practicing how I want to practice." He will be missed. May God Bless you and your family.

I hope to come to the visitation but with the weather I wanted to send this note in case. Jed was an excellent lawyer and a great man. I loved having him in my court because he was always fair minded and had a practical approach to everything. I also loved Jed's patience. He was a true credit to our profession and will be missed by me and all the members of the bench and bar here in Northern Kentucky. My prayers for your family.
