Casey Jay Young, 22 of Louisville, KY, formerly of Walton, KY, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Manchester, TN. Casey was a student at the University of Louisville and was a manager at The Artic Scoop ice cream parlor. He was a member of the U of L Academic team as well as a former member of the Simon Kenton High School academic team. He enjoyed listening to music, camping, hiking, traveling, cooking, eating ice cream and was an avid political debater. Casey is preceded in death by his father; Thomas Young, grandfather; Larry Mikesell and step-grandfather; James Bridenbaugh. He is survived by his mother; Tami Mikesell Young (Mark Fornash), sisters; Audrey Young-Kelley (Joseph), Kyndra Harshbarger and Chana Young and grandmother; RoseAnna Mikesell-Bridenbaugh, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends will take place Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Chambers & Grubbs Walton from 2-4 PM. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.
