Obituary of Charles E. Carr

UNION - Charles E. Carr, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 10, at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a manager of service costs and rates overseas for AT&T, an Air Force veteran, member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Lakeside Park and he enjoyed sailing and reading. Survivors include his wife, La Verda Brown Carr; daughter, Amy Murrell of St. Louis, Mo.; sons, David Carr of Vestal, N.Y. and Daryl Carr of San Francisco, Calif.; sister, Betty Jones of Silver Spring, Md.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, with service following at Immanuel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona. Chambers and Grubb Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
