I have many fond memories of Wendel. He was always so kind to me. And I enjoyed his dry sense of humor. And his laugh was contagious He was a wonderful Papaw to my children Danielle and Jennifer. And planted trees for them when they were born, as he did for all of his grandchildren. I remember once at church at Wilmington Baptist, as he and the other Deacons were saying prayer before taking up the offering. We sat upstairs in the pews. And my oldest Danielle who wasn't 2yet started squealing his name when she say him. He turned and looked up at the balcony as to say, shhhh and just smiled. He'd take the girls on rides on his john deer mower, and loved every second of it, as did my girls. I could go on and on.... About his long bike rides, him planting our first tree and building beautiful sturdy Punic tables, and Dynasty's dog house ect. He was a wonderful man, father in-law,Papaw, and friend. Anyone who was lucky to know him was Blessed. Thank you Wendel for my memories and loving my daughters, grandchildren so. You will be missed by many God Bless Your Family and Friends at this time and Always Prayers sent Love you still
