FLORENCE - David Lee Higgins, 79, of Florence, formerly of Attica, N.Y., died Saturday, March 7, at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a waste water treatment plant technician for the Village of Attica, N.Y., an Air Force veteran, member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Union, Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church in Darien Center, N.Y., Florence American Legion Post 4, U.S. Air Force Sergeants Association, president and chief of Attica Fire Dept. and New York State Firemen's Exempt. Survivors include his wife, Carol Grabenstatter Higgins; son, John Higgins of Florence; sister, Marilyn Wilson of Attica, N.Y.; brother, Richard Higgins of Syracuse, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial service will be in July at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church; Darien Center, NY.
