In her obituary, Rhoda Humphrey was described as a "lunch lady" for Walton-Verona for 36 years; but all who knew her, will remember her as MUCH more. She was the smiling face that greeted hundreds of hungry kids every day. She made sure that every child got as much as they needed to eat, and a kind word, as if she were feeding them in her own kitchen. I hope that God puts Rhoda in charge of the line in heaven!

What a wonderful person to have been so fortuante to have known. You always knew just what to say to make someone smile. You gave me this poem when my grandma died. You will be always be missed, never forgotten! I'm Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee, God wanted me now, He set me free. ~Author Unknown My thoughts and prayers for Sarah and her family.

Floyd and the entire family, Know how much Christy and I are grieving with you this weekend after the sudden and unexpected loss. Rhoda was not only Jamie's Sunday School teacher, she was one of the most supportive members during our time at FBC Walton. There are so many memories that have come flooding back from the past six years for us. While I know she is in a better place, she is greatly missed here by all of us. We pray God's comfort and healing to all of you in the days and months ahead. Although we are in the middle of transitioning to central Kentucky, you hold a very special place in our hearts. In His love, Nate, Christy, Jamie and Lauren Bordeaux
