Obituary of Irene Hafner

INDEPENDENCE - Irene Morgeson Hafner, age 84, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at her residence. She was a retired social worker for the State of KY Medicare office. Ms Hafner was also a member of the Democrat Club and a KY Colonel . Survivors include (5) daughters, Connie Brady of Covington, Robin Price of Independence, Ginger Haven of Florence, Jarri Hedges of Erlanger, and Sheila Yeary of Covington; (3) sons, Denny Hacker of Independence, Mark Hafner of Columbus, OH and Tony Hafner of Moses Lake, WA; sister, Francis Moore of Mt. Sterling, KY; (2) brothers, Perry Morgeson and Buster Morgeson both of Lebanon, KY; many grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence. Services will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Elizabeth Hospice Center.
