James Henry Combs, age 78, of Florence, died Thursday, August 19, 2010, at University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He was a retired machinist for Lodge & Shipley Company and a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Combs was also a member of the American Legion Post #4 in Florence, KY and was active in their funeral honor detail. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Combs of Florence; son, Michael Combs of Fairfield Township, OH; daughter, Linda Romaniuk of Grove City, OH; brother, Arnold Combs of Versailles, IN; sister, Maxine Shorter of Reading, OH and (2) grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, August 23, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will at Baltimore Avenue Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.
