I can hardly find the many themes that describe Mr. Holbrook, yes I am 75 and I still call him Mr. Holbrook for he was and will always be my and our Simon Kenton industrial arts teacher and hold my greatest respect for the superb human being he continued to be throughout life. The love of Jesus exudes from his very essence and that mischievous smile when he knew you just learned a new concept or finished a project. If you did not like Mr. Holbrook then you surely need a personality adjustment for Mr. Holbrook was just naturally a very humble low key lovable human being. His family members were His golden treasurers and his friends were always filled with bewilderment as to his determination to get things done in a timely and successful manner. He truly was a great example of the love of Jesus and June and I have always held him and many of our others teachers in the highest esteem. I look across the room of my office and I still see the two little candle stick holders I made in his Industrial Arts class in 1960. I drive by the many trees I purchased from him for the three homes June and I have built including our last home located at 2994 Moffett And Martin roads intersection Independence, Kentucky. Grover Kash Holbrook is now in the arms of Jesus his life long friend and saviour to hear the words a job well done my good and faithful servant. The family and all his friends and students will keep his family and all in our Prayers from all his student's from Simon Kenton and the other schools for whom he taught and served. I know his last years were difficult and thank you Lord for his family and friends and taking him home on the week of his beloved Kenton County Schools, particularly Simon Kenton Graduations. Our young friend among many others Joseph Hammond Graduated today and exemplifies the love and kindness bestowed by the sincerity of the many teachers like Mr. Holbrook that have travel through the minds of our youth. Thank you Lord for the teachers of the World. Thank you Lord for they taught me building skills and Industrial Arts but even more important they taught me respect and understanding of the love of Jesus and our freedoms and the importance of having Him come into our Hearts. The most important lesson in life whether you are 18 and just graduated or 90 and passing on into Heaven is "Are You Ready"? Grover Kash Holbrook was ready and Joesph Hammond is ready also. If you have not invited Jesus into your heart, I encourage you to do so now. He knocks on everyone's hearts door and invite him into your heart, reach down and turn the knob and open the door and invite Him in and you to can make a U turn in life and always remember it is the Holy Spirits job to convict and God's job to Judge and your, my, our job to Love. We love you.
