Obituary of Randolph "Randy" Carl Wesselman
Randolph “Randy” Carl Wesselman, age 53, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at his residence. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Wesselman Construction and in Randy’s own words, “a graduate of the school of hard knocks, a true jack of all trades and a master of dirt”. Randy loved animals, working on his equipment beyond its limitations, trap shooting and storytelling. His mother, Angela Elizabeth Wesselman and brother, Jeffrey Paul Wesselman, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Karen Steinhilber Wesselman; daughter, Heather Wesselman; father, Bernard William Wesselman; and siblings, Jude Wesselman (Carole), Janet Farris (David), Bernie Wesselman, Jr. (Rachelle), Christopher Wesselman (Karen). Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at noon at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions, the wearing of face masks is mandatory, temperatures will be taken before entrance to the church and attendance will be limited to 50% of the church’s capacity, while still maintaining 6 feet of social distancing. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts Troop #8, 240 Pelly Rd., Independence, KY 41051 or as masses to St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
