I just found out about your passing on the news. I am devastated. I worked with Rico and we laughed often. He could turn a stressful day into a smile. A friend and a good man. The world was a better place with you in it. You will be missed. Be at peace my friend.

Rico was my friend. We both lived in Louisiana.
Rico loved dirty rice and jambalaya and you never saw him not wearing Saints or LSU apparel.
He was an exceptional man and he will be missed.
My condolences to his wife and children.
Rest in peace Rico.

Rico lived his life giving all he could to assist others in having a life. He was always present to help clients and staff at Droege. He was so full of encouragement and always had a response to any hard question, that made you go hummm and see things differently. He was joyful and kind to all. He has a great sense of humor and was able to lift spirits with just his smile. A kind man who helped so many help themselves..Cannot believe his earthly light is removed from our presence and now shining in heaven. Pat Simmons

Rico, always at Promises, Sunday mornings since i can remember. His story is amazing, the love of his family, wife and most of all his God (Lord & Savior.) There are some people we meet throughout our lives who leave an impression. Rico was certainly one of those people for me. And I'm sure many. His heavenly Father decided he has other things for Rico to do up there. Glad i got to see him stay sober, prosper and fall in love with the woman of his dreams. Happily married giving away every bit of love he had inside. Beautiful thing. Rest in Peace, visit Rosalie, ..we'll miss you Rico Suave'. ❣️ Love Christine

This is very heartbreaking to loose such a wonderful, smart, and caring man. Rico was my Sponsor, my brother, and my friend. As soon as I met him I knew he was what I needed to help me in my recovery process. He didn't sugar coat his words and was very direct, which is what I needed and why I chose him to be my Sponsor. He was always available when I needed him to give me suggestions to help me improve my life. I know that he is on his way to heaven, where hopefully because of him, I will be able to see him again and we can rekindle our relationship. Goodbye my friend until I see you again!!!

Rico, you never ended a call or message without saying, "I love you, cuz". My heart is hurting because you are no longer with us. You fought a good fight, you finished your course, you kept the faith. I will see you on the other side in Paradise. "I love you, cuz." May the spirit of the ancestors receive you with open arms and may you rest in peace.

I worked with Rico when he first came to Railserve in early 2002. So far in my 23 years in the railroad Industry, he was the literally the best conductor/brakeman I ever had. An engineer could not ask for a better person to be watching out for you on the ground. He always checked in on me. He always had my back. And on those cold early mornings he would get my locomotive running for me & have the heat cranked up.
Even though I went onto another operation I always held Rico in the highest regards. He was a true friend. I am at a loss for words right now, but I know heaven gained another conductor watching out for everyone, especially his brothers & sister's working in the railroad Industry.
My thoughts & prayers go to his wife, his mother, & the rest of his family & friends.
Thank you for being there for me all those years ago Rico.
