     Ricardo “Rico” Harris of Southgate, passed away from COVID-19 at age 65 on Monday September 7, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Ft. Thomas, KY.

     Rico retired from working for the railroad as a conductor and was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 17 years. Rico was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and lived in Louisiana for part of his life. He loved vacationing with his wife, Rosalie, in Siesta Keys. He also enjoyed watching horror movies, and going out to eat, especially for seafood. But most of all, Rico loved his mom's strawberry pie. Rico was an extraordinary man who made a huge impact on many lives and will be greatly missed.

     Survived to mourn his loss is his loving wife, Rosalie Harris; mother, Beverly Jean Beal; sons, Ricardo Harris II and Derek Harris; grandchildren, Madison, Chase, Ricardo, Derek, Lyric, and Andre; half-sisters, Dorothy Harris, Kendra Harris, Shelly Harris, and Ingrid Harris; many cousins; as well as many other friends and family members who will forever cherish Rico’s memory. He is preceded in death by his father, John Harris; grandparents; and half-sister, Terri Bermudez.

     A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.      Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions, the funeral home’s occupancy will be limited to 50% of normal capacity while still enforcing 6 feet of social distancing and requiring the wearing of face masks.
