Bill never let his muscles grow weak, having a weight or weights in his hand every time I came to the Day house to visit Wilma and Bill. Even in the bitter cold of winter, Bill was in shorts lifting hand weights. Those muscles came in handy though. Springtime, Bill would cut/chop weeds, shrubs, trees and branches by the fence on the entrance to Boone Lake, so it would be easy to see around the corner coming onto the property. One memory sticks out in my mind about Bill being so helpful to us personally. We had a cement patio what was also a cistern, and it was in need of power washing. Somehow or another, Bill ended up coming over to the house with his power washer to show me how it worked. Next thing I know, he had power washed the entire patio!!!
