I, too, worked with Maxine at IRS. She was a lovely woman who always had a smile. For several after we retired, we would run into each other often (can do that when you’re retired) at Lazurus/Macy’s. We always took the time to catch up. My deepest sympathy and prayers for the family.

I met Maxine at the First Baptist Church in Walton, Kentucky when I was about fifteen years of age.
She welcomed me into the Church Family with a hug and a beautiful smile. She also welcomed me to sing in the church choir!
I admired the Christian love that she and J.B. shared with each other and others over the years and we kept in touch with Christmas Cards.
Thanksgiving week I sensed a need to call her and J.B. and attempted to do so, to let them know that I was thinking of them.
There was no answer. Little did I know that I would receive a call yesterday, December 9th informing me of her death.
I thank God for the friendship we shared over the years.
Our sympathy is with J.B. and her son Tim during this difficult time. She is missed. I greatly enjoyed the video the family put on the website of photos taken over the years.

I remember Maxine from IRS. She was always such a sweet, kind lady & very soft spoken. I was fortunate to see her & her husband at the Florence Kroger’s last year. I almost always remember faces but not names, but once I saw her, I knew it was her! I’m sure she didn’t remember me at first, until I started talking about the good old IRS days & the people we knew in common. She was sweet as always! My sincere sympathy to her family!

Maxine was a remarkable individual❤️ Worked with her at IRS and admired her. I continued with seeing her at my sons church. She didn’t know it but felt relieved knowing she prayed for my son who has a heart condition. Her smile just melts you. Loved that women and so glad she was part of everyone’s life.

Having just learned of Aunt Maxine's passing, we wish to send our fondest condolences to Tim and his entire family.
We remember fondly the last time we were all together and how At Maxine stayed in touch with our father for the years after our mother died. She was the comfort only a sister could be to him.
We were so proud of the wonderful woman she was and the beautiful life she led.
God bless you, Uncle JB and comfort you in these days. And may perpetual light shine upon her face and lead her home.
Again, our love and sympathy to you all.

I got to know Maxine as she visited with her sister in the nursing home She was my ex/ husband’s great aunt. She was the sweetest lady just like her sister Rose. I lost touch for a little while due to life. I visited Bob Snow ( her nephew) and my ex father in law/ but still family. I asked for her number. It was about a week before her passing. I told her I loss my job and boy she was ready to go up there and give them what for. If Maxine liked you knew it. We didn’t talk long, but I was glad I got to tell her I loved her. I bet her and Rose and their other sister haven’t stopped talking and laughing since she arrived. She will be missed by many. JB and your son will be in my prayers.

Steve and I felt truly honored to have known and worshiped with Maxine these past ten years. She and J.B. were so welcoming to us when we joined First Baptist Walton. Maxine was always smiling, positive, and encouraging. She made my mother feel welcomed when she would visit, and Maxine never failed in inquire about her. I could always count on seeing her smiling face in the nursery on Sunday, and down in the kitchen on Wednesday nights. During this Covid time, we would check in on J.B. and Maxine from time to time. Her answer was always the same, “No Honey, we don’t need anything, we’re just fine”. We will miss her, and her cheerful outlook. J.B., you,Tim and the rest of the family are in our prayers.
With sincere sympathies,
Steve and Danita Powell

Ms. Maxine was such an amazing lady. She was the epitome of love and kindness. She lit up any room she entered and her presence was like a warm hug that you could feel even before she gave you the actual hug. She was thoughtful, kind and faithful to all. She will be greatly missed by me and so many others.
Sending love & prayers to her family at this very difficult time.

Maxine was one of the longest standing faithful Bob Evans Guest in several of our locations but especially the Florence location. We have greatly missed seeing Maxine and JB as it has been since the beginning of this mess of a Pandemic in early March since they both have been able to come in. Our Hearts and prayer go out to JB and all of the family. Maxine spent much time with us speaking about her kids and Grand Children so proudly. Maxine was what I call a RAVING FAN for Bob Evans, Even when we got it wrong Maxine would make it sound like everything was just Great. She went the extra mile with everything she was involved with. Maxine was instrumental in introducing Bob Evans into Her beloved Walton Baptist Church. We had the pleasure of assisting in many of their annual Thanksgiving events along with other needs the Church had. On a personal level Maxine would frequently ask me for some of my wife Lisa's Realtor Business cards so that she could hand them out to folks she might come into contact with looking for housing. She had the most caring heart of anyone I have had the pleasure of serving and knowing for the last 34 years. Maxine and JB never missed a moment of a UK game that was either on TV or sometimes they had to catch the game on the radio. Always wearing UK blue Maxine was a true blue fan of the Cats. Maxine and JB have always been the most pleasant and caring couple and we at Bob Evans have been Blessed in many ways to have known Maxine. JB we love you and miss you. Our hearts are heavy and will miss Maxine so very much. JB we offer many prayers for your peace with the loss of your partner in life these past 70 or more years. God Bless you and your family
