Obituary of James Kelly Ralston

James Kelly Ralston of Union, age 74, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospice. He was born in Frankfort, KY on July 16, 1946 to Violet Marie Hulette. A maintenance supervisor, Kelly retired from Towne Properties and was a veteran having proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Kelly attended Ludlow Methodist. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, and spending time with his grandkids; especially cheering them on during their various football and basketball games.

In addition to his mother, Kelly is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda D. Hatton Ralston. Survived to mourn his loss and carry his light are his children; Amy (Dan) Molique, Brian (Angie) Ralston, and Jamie Velasquez; grandchildren Brennan, Mason, Chloe, Isabel, Sophie, Breckin, and Shelby as well as many other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.

A visitation and funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Immediately following the service, Kelly will be laid to rest next to his wife at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY. Memorial donations in Kelly’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or to St. Charles Community, 600 Farrell Dr, Covington, KY 41011.
