Bob was a gentle soul who without a doubt loved his wife Yvette and his kids and grand kids. We had this dry sense of humor that would make me smile. Good byes took awhile because his hugs he graciously passed out took a while to complete. He would light up whenever the conversation involved his grand kids . He left his Mark on the world with his quiet gentle way about him.
Rest in Peace Bob and may all who knew you remember your gentle way.. May peace and strength follow all who loved him.

On behalf of Honor Flight Tri-State we send our condolences for your loss. Bob was on the list for his Honor Flight, and unfortunately due to Covid 19 all trips were cancelled. With each veteran we lose, a little piece of our heart goes with them. We carry an encased American flag and place it on the pillar at the WWII memorial in honor of any veteran who has not been able to fly with us. The following is a poem that we recite prior to every flight (author unknown).
It is the Veteran, not the preacher
Who has given us the freedom of religion.
It is the Veteran, not the reporter
Who has given us the freedom of the press.
It is the veteran, not the poet
Who has given us the Freedom of speech.
It is the Veteran, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to assemble here today.
It is the veteran, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote
It is the veteran, who salutes the flag
Who serves beneath the flag
And whose coffin is draped with the flag
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude
Our nation will remain the land of the free only as long as it is the home of the brave.
We salute the defenders of our freedom…
The Army Soldiers, the US Army Air Corps Airman, the US Air Force, The Marines, and Coast Guard Sailors.
They have earned us the right to assemble here today and they continue to serve our country around the world today – so we can remain the best place on earth.
May God bless Bob for his service to our country and wrap His loving arms around him and always keep him safe.
