Obituary of Bob Carter
Robert Benton Carter, age 73, of Independence, KY, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was a retired Finance Manager for and a U.S. Army Veteran. Bob’s passions included golfing, watching his grandkids play sports, spending time with friends, traveling, the beach, landscape and being outside. He was known by those he loved for his “big hugs”. His parents, George Robert and Martha Jones Carter, and sister, Debbie Carter, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Yvette Morgan Carter; children, Sheri Carter Brockman (Jeff), Tricia Parker Sadler (Cory), and Scott Munich (Mandy); grandchildren, Matthew, Haley, Nick, Kaitlyn, Lucas, Braden, Joe, Eli, and Izaac; and great grandchildren, Lily and Easton. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon with the funeral service beginning at 12 noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 50% capacity will be limited at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at KY Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
