Obituary of Roy G. Carroll

     Roy G. Carroll, 81 of Independence, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Edgewood, KY on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.  He was born the son of the late Arlie and Sylvania Carroll on November 27, 1939.

     Roy graduated from Morehead State University with a bachelor’s degree and proudly served in the United States Army.  He also worked as a book keeper for Gray and Pape archeologist. Roy was a kind, yet simple man who loved his family. Roy enjoyed riding his Yamaha motorcycle and his Massey Ferguson tractor.  

     He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Beverly Carroll.  Those left to carry on his legacy are his son, Donald (Sonia) Jett; sisters, Carolyn Sams and Bernice Finnell; grandson, Coleman Jett.

     A memorial service to honor Roy’s life will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051
