Obituary of Martha "Marty" Day

     Martha “Marty” Day of Morning View, age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, KY. She was born in Covington, KY on January 4, 1958, to the late Dee and Wanda Gadd. Marty was a talented accompanist and really enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family, especially her grandkids. She loved to attend their ball games. Marty was always easy to get along with and had many friends. She was honest, endearing, and generous. Marty is a wife, mother, grandma, sister, and a friend with a heart of gold, who will be missed beyond measure.

     In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Gadd, Jeanine Gadd, Debbie Gadd, and Linda Rouse.

     She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Danny Day; children, Julie (Dan) Ison, Daniel (Terri) Day, Katie (Austin) Brownlee, and Ryan Day; sister, Lori Black; beloved grandchildren, Hailey, Ellie, Josie, McKayla, Hannah, Madyson, Westen, Baron, and Madden; her precious nieces and nephews; her devoted companion, Sugar; as well as many other friends and family members who will cherish her memory.

     A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Immediately following the services, Marty will be laid to rest in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY.
