Obituary of Dennis Lee Gooch

     Dennis Lee Gooch, 70, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Edgewood, KY. He was born the son of the late Charlie and Josephine Fiedler Gooch on August 30, 1951 in Kenton County, KY.

     Dennis proudly served in the United States Army for three years. He worked for the US Postal Service where he retired. Dennis was a member of the freemason organization.  He enjoyed gardening, reading, watching football and riding his motorcycle. Dennis was blessed with such talent in woodworking, he could build just about anything you asked him to.  His greatest pride and joy was his family and grandkids who knew him as “Pops” and “Pappy”.  Dennis enjoyed many things, but spending time with his family was the most important to him.

     Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Barbara Gooch and brother John Gooch.

     Those left here to carry on his great legacy are his loving wife of 34 years, Judy Gooch; Children, Jackie (Jack) Blackburn, Maribeth (Brian) Schumacher, Rachel (Hugh) Gloster, Kimberlee Gooch; grandkids, Josh (Madison) Blackburn, Ally Blackburn, Enna Blackburn, Tristan Schumacher, Kieran Schumacher, Rylan Schumacher, Teagan Schumacher, Macklin Gloster and his sister Janet (Barry) Bowery and many other close friends who will miss him beyond measure.

     In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, the services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.  He will then be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery.
