Obituary of Eric W. Johns

Eric W. Johns of Erlanger, KY passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 49 on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. The son of the late Kathleen {Lucas} Beasley and George Johns, Eric was born in Covington on September 30, 1972.

Eric was a passionate musician and was a member of multiple bands throughout his lifetime. He was highly intelligent and had a photographic memory. He always had a place in his heart for his “second home” of New Orleans. Eric enjoyed the company of his cat, Maceo.

Those to carry on Eric’s legacy are his partner, Amanda Strange; brother Chad (Crystal) Johns; nieces and nephew Shianah, Aiden, and Arya Johns; beloved family members Krista Johns, Mia Murphy, Ria Grathwohl, and June Baumer; and numerous friends and fans that he cherished dearly.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his paternal grandmother, Marion “Dudie” Johns.
