My husband worked with JC at Levi Strauss and counted him a good friend. Later, he did our taxes for over 25 years, where we met his wife Barb and family. Shared some stories about our kids and theirs. Always a great time and friendly. We will miss him. He was a special person. We pray for your comfort. Leon and Mary Peace

Jim prepared my taxes for several years, that is how I knew him. Even though I only saw him at tax season he was a very nice good man. He made you feel more like family and not just a 'client'. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. I extend my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy

Deepest sympathy to all of Jim's family. He was a great guy. Always had a smile and was ready to chat with everyone. He will truly be missed by many. We have known him for many years, in fact he was our tax guy for 44 years.

Q: What was James really good at? A: Mr. Acuff was one of the most friendly and polite individuals I have ever met! Very good at his accounting work with income taxes! Very family oriented! We will miss him! Great Christian man to know! He often spoke of his wife Barbara! I met her a few times! God Bless Barb and the family!

Jim did our family taxes for over 40 years. He became a dear friend and grieved with me at my husband's passing in 2008. I truly pray that God will grant Barbara and his family peace and comfort at his passing.

I didn’t know Mr. Acuff personally but I know his son Jacob. It’s clear Mr. Acuff was a wonderful father. He raised a great son and Jacob loved his father so much and talked about his dad all the time. A great man who will clearly live on in his son and grandsons. Rest in peace Mr. Acuff. Julie Halcomb
