Charles W. "Billy" Adams Obituary

Charles William (Billy) Adams, 98, passed away on February 17, 2023, while a resident at Mease Life Assisted Living in Dunedin, Florida.  He was born on July 21, 1924, in Cynthiana, Kentucky.


He attended Simon Kenton High School, but left to join the Marine Corps, where he served in the Pacific.  At the end of WWII, he returned to northern Kentucky and was employed by R. A. Jones & Company, where he worked until his retirement.  


In addition to his parents and his brother, Paul, Billy was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Meier Adams, and his second wife, Lucille Lowe Adams.  


Survivors include his children Glenna Adams (Lon) Caffee and Ronald William (Lisa) Adams; stepdaughters Linda Campbell (Michael) Eckle and Susan Campbell (Terry) Casey; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren as well as other extended family members.


Visitation will be held from 9 AM until time of service at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 25th at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, Kentucky, 41051.  Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery where military rites will be held. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made in Charles’ name to Hopeful Lutheran Church, 6430 Hopeful Church Road, Florence, KY, 41042, or to Mease Life Employee Fund, 700 Mease Boulevard, Dunedin, FL, 34698.
