Daniel, I can't believe you're gone from our lives.
I will miss those big bear hugs you gave and the I love you's to follow.
I am the "adopted" Aunt Nanc to Daniel and Katie. I have known Daniel since birth and have many precious memories of him.
Daniel and I use to play the card game "war" when he was young. When our cards would match we would sing the "War" song. Later when he was in his early twenties we played the game again for old times.
When Daniel was around 3 years old it was Christmas time and we were in my car listening to a Christmas CD of Manheim Steam roller, this one particular song came on and Daniel is in his car seat just kicking away on the back of the front seat. Daniel never said the word "again" he would say "gin". I think he said gin at least 4 to 5 times to play that song over and over.
My heart is breaking for the loss of you Daniel, but I know you're in God's arms now and you found your peace. I am grateful to your Mom and Dad for letting me be a part of your life. Rest in peace our precious boy.
