Obituary of Katy Renee Davis

Katy Renee Maxson Davis, age 51, of Crittenden, KY, went on to be with the Lord, June 26, 2023, at her residence after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.  Katy previously served as a Healthcare Researcher for Procter & Gamble and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital before ultimately becoming a full-time mom to her beloved children.  She had a “green thumb” and raised a garden and grew various types of orchids.  Katy volunteered in many capacities over the years including the St. Cecilia Parent Teacher Organization (former President) and at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Pediatric Center.  Her hobbies included volleyball, yoga, being a “Scrabble shark”, traveling, listening to 80’s & 90’s music and collecting elephant figurines.  Most of all, Katy loved being with her family.  She found great joy in attending her children’s sporting events and other activities and was their #1 fan.  Katy is survived by her loving husband (of 24 years), Daniel Joseph Davis; cherished children, Audrey Rose Davis, Maggie Ann Davis, and Jared Maxson Davis, parents, William and Janice Maxson; siblings, Kim Swartz (Scott), Michael Maxson (Liz), Kara Strittmatter (Terry Harpold); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Rosemary Davis; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.  Visitation for Katy will be Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Interment will be at St. Cecilia Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Neuroendrocrine Cancer Awareness Network, NCAN Inc., 3074 Brookchase Blvd., Indian Land, SC 29707.
