Obituary of Arthur A. Meisberger
Arthur A. Meisberger of Walton, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023, while at home and surrounded by family. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on September 1, 1944. Art was a proud veteran having served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the IRS where he worked for many years as an IT technician. He served on the city council of Walton, was a member of the DAV, and American Legion post 277. Art was an avid NASCAR fan, raced stock cars, and enjoyed rebuilding cars from the 1940's and 50's. He also liked to spend his time hunting, fishing, and trapping. Art was a great cook and made especially good cream candies which he loved to pass out to others. Art was very selfless and would help anyone he could. He was a dad, brother, friend, and pawpaw who will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Dee Swartz and his sister, Marsha Sue Snider.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Emily (Brandon) Combs and Brittany Meisberger; former spouse and close friend, Teresa Logan; siblings, Fred Meisberger, Roger (Markay) Schoumacher, and Cynthia Seaman Jankins; beloved granddaughters, McKenzie and Brooklyn Combs; several cousins; many nieces and nephews; as well as several other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N Main St. Walton, KY 41094. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Art will be laid to rest at the KY Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
