It seems like just a couple years ago Lauren was a baby and a toddler and a little girl running around the neighborhood making all of our lives sweeter with her smile. She’d come next door and ring the doorbell and hang out with Kris and Amy. She was such a sweet girl and we loved her. To Amy and family and to Keith and family….I am deeply sorry and saddened she had to go so early. I don’t know why but I know it’s not the last time you will see her.

I want to send my most heartfelt condolences to Lauren's friends and family.
Lauren was a student in the Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles program, where I am on the faculty. I had Lauren in my Dress and Culture class in spring 2023. We bonded after I noticed her wearing a Kappa Delta t-shirt in class and I let her know that I am also a KD (Virginia Tech Chapter).
Lauren was a very engaged student and very polite and personable. She often came up to me after class to chat. She had infinite potential.
My colleagues and I are so saddened by Lauren's tragic passing. We are going to miss her and are heartbroken that her life was so tragically cut short. Please know that we will be holding your family in our thoughts and and hoping for comfort and healing as you navigate this devastating loss.

I remember having dinner with Lauren at the home of her grandparents, Ollie and Paul. It was a “podcast” dinner, and all the ladies sat together with Lauren at the head of the table. She was a delight. Easy spirited and full of life, I marveled at her self composure with all these ladies she just met. She was beautiful and fun and smart and warm. I can’t believe our time with her was so brief. It’s so heartbreaking to lose her from this earth. She must be lighting the heavens now with her bright light.
