Obituary of Mary Frances Robinson

Mary Frances Robinson of Ryland Heights, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in the comfort of her own home and with her family by her side. She was born on January 17, 1940, in Paintsville, KY. Mary attended Berea College where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and retired as a schoolteacher for the Kenton County School District. She was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Walton and enjoyed volunteering whenever she could. Mary even taught Sunday school throughout her years showing her true passion for teaching. She also enjoyed other things in life such as traveling, camping, reading, and doing genealogy work. She especially loved visiting England and Alaska. Most of all, Mary loved to spend time with her family and simply enjoying life. She was a wife, mom, and nanny whose caring touch will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Merrel Robinson; sons, Brent (Sheri McGue) Robinson; Chad (Melissa) Robinson; beloved grandchildren, Cody Robinson, Rene (Buck) Solomon, and Charlotte Robinson; great-grandchild, Asher Solomon; as well as many friends and other relatives who will cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Clara Robinson; brother, George Music; and her daughter-in-law, Donna Robinson.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at KY Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
