Obituary of Thomas J. Bolger

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Thomas J. “Tom”  Bolger, 61, of Walton, KY, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, May 6, 2024, at his residence. The son of the late Richard James and Ruth Ellen {Godsell} Bolger, Tom was born in Cincinnati on July 18, 1962. He graduated class of 1980 at Elder High School and later obtained his B.S. in Business Administration at NKU in 1987. He married the love of his life, Carolyn {Faecher} Bolger, on May 7, 2005, and went on to create a beautiful family whom he loved most. After over 25 years of employment as a Mortgage Loan Officer, most recently at Huntington Bank, Tom was looking forward to retirement in the near future.

Tom had a passion for waterskiing and lake life.  He competed many times winning various awards.  The outdoors is where he was happiest whether it was floating, fishing, hiking or just doing yard work. Tom was a true handyman always doing projects; painting, flooring, refurbishing furniture, woodworking, rebuilding/fixing anything and mechanics. He took pride in doing things himself.  No task was too big or too small.  Tom also had a love of music and attended many concerts; big names and local bands.  The last concert he attended was Leonid and Friends on Saturday night with plans to attend more.  Tom loved traveling and was looking forward to filling his passport with more stamps.  One of Tom's latest passions was Bourbon.  He even enjoyed visiting the Bourbon Trail many times with family and friends. Tom was a proud husband and dad, who most loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all.

Those left to carry on Tom’s legacy are his wife of 19 years, Carolyn Bolger; children Austin Bolger, Holly Lazelle, Cameron Lazelle, and Brynne Bolger; sister Julie (Richard) Roettker; brother Terence (Noy) Bolger; father and mother-in-law Don (Rebecca) Faecher, Sr.; sister-in-law Sarah Faecher; nieces Jennifer (Craig) Rohren; nephews Ryan (Jillian) Roettker, Taylor (Katelyn) Faecher, Corderall Faecher, Sarvon Faecher, and Desmond Faecher; his Bernedoodle, Ozz; and numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Don Faecher, Jr.; nephew Stephaun Jones; and his Goldendoodle, Cosmo.
