Pattie, my little sister, would always say ‘yes’ (with a smile) if I needed her help. We were kindred spirits.
We had married men that we met in high school and eventually both ran their own companies. Pattie and I had a lot in common. We always had a lot to talk about and thoroughly enjoyed our families. Pattie impressed me because she always made time to read books. She had the library truck stop on Martin Road regularly while her children were young.
When my husband died suddenly she and Tommy were there to totally organize his huge home office for me. A favorite Pattie memory was on a trip to California with just the two of us driving Pacific Coast Highway enjoying the ocean, the sunshine, the mountains and each other singing along and laughing together. we, Patties sisters and brothers and spouses, all sang Christmas Carols at Patties house. Some other family members were there also. We had a great time!
